GAVIN, THE FISH I WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH

Not many pictures make my genuinely happy.
These surely do, though. I don't know, I think it's his smile...

Might seem long at first sigh, but it's just a couple of pictures, you'll scroll quickly through it.
Also, don't try to look like you actually have some important shit to do.
Because you don't.

MARS DOESN'T GIVE A SHIT

So imagine that you're a Mars rover, right? You're just curiously wandering around Mars, collecting whatever you find, analyzing dust and stuff (wanted to say dust and shit, but then I realized that the vast consequences of finding an actual shit on Mars, so yeah, stuff it is). And suddenly you see (detect/record/whatever) this:

I mean, looks quite boring, right? A bit like some kind of children's firework going on.
Would it be more interesting if I told you that thingy is 200-400 meters tall?
Oh yeah, that's Martian scale for you, right there.

EYES OF LLAMAS SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF ME

I mean look at it, people! There really are times I wish I would pay more attention in biology classes because seriously, how come such weirdly shaped iris even evolved. Why is it efficient???

I'd like to know! But I don't. Why? Because I was doodling most of the time at biology... Well, it's not like I don't know anything at all, though. I can draw a shark. Does that count?

ANOTHER LAMP IN THE WALL

Col. Chris Hadfield, the twitter astronaut star that entertains us with his videos of daily routines in space, made an interesting observation from the orbit. Even though it's 23 years since the fall of Berlin Wall (or as I Berliner Mauer), the division between west and east Berlin is still materialized in the form of different street lamps used in each part. Whereas in the former East Berlin there are sodium-vapour lamps that emit rather yellowish light, the western part uses fluorescent lamps (gas lamps and mercury arc lamps) whose colour is more white.
Interesting fact: Berlin with its nearly 44 000 gas lamps owns currently more than 50% of all of the worlds remaining stock of 80 000. However, the city wants to get rid off them  as it plans to become carbon neutral by 2050.
